Who delivers Freedom Physiotherapy?
Ascenti Physio is a UK provider of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with over 25 years of experience. It has 300+ registered physiotherapists across 300 clinics, and 90% of the UK population lives within 3 miles of an Ascenti clinic.
Through this partnership, members can access a virtual initial assessment with a physiotherapist, who will assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate treatment pathway, including self-management, remote sessions or face-to-face treatment where clinically appropriate.

Benefits of Freedom Physiotherapy
Freedom Physiotherapy provides a straightforward route to assessment and treatment for eligible muscle and joint problems. The service is delivered by Ascenti and is available where the member’s policy includes outpatient cover with physiotherapy benefits.
No GP referral required
Members can contact the dedicated Freedom Physiotherapy line directly. The Freedom Health Insurance claims team will check the member’s cover and eligibility for the service.
Virtual initial assessment
Once eligibility is confirmed, a 30-minute virtual initial assessment can be arranged with an Ascenti physiotherapist. The physiotherapist will assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate treatment pathway.
Flexible treatment pathways
Depending on clinical need, the recommended pathway may include self-management, virtual treatment or face-to-face physiotherapy.
Personalised rehabilitation support
Members may receive a personalised rehabilitation programme through the Ascenti Reach app, with up to six months’ access.
Direct billing with Ascenti
Ascenti bills Freedom Health Insurance directly, and the initial virtual assessment is paid in full with no excess. Follow-up treatment is subject to your policy excess, limits and terms. With another provider, you may need to pay upfront and claim back, and fees above reasonable costs may leave a shortfall.
